Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Maathru app and website. By creating an account or using Maathru, you agree to them. Maathru is developed by eleetra in Sri Lanka.

1. Medical disclaimer

Maathru provides general information and tools for pregnancy. It is not medical advice and does not replace your doctor, midwife or other health professional. Always follow their advice. In an emergency, or if you are worried about yourself or your baby, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

Calculators, counters and timers (such as the due date, weight gain, kick and contraction tools) give estimates only.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe.
You are responsible for activity on your account.
You can close your account at any time in Settings → Close account.

3. Premium plans and payments

The app is free to download. Premium plans unlock all features for a fixed period (3, 6 or 12 months).
Each plan is a one-time payment. Plans do not renew automatically.
Prices are shown in the app before you pay. Card and bank transfer prices are in Sri Lankan rupees. Apple In-App Purchases are charged by Apple in your App Store currency.
Card payments activate premium immediately. Bank transfers are activated after our team confirms your receipt, normally within 8 hours.
Discount codes have their own conditions (for example, an expiry date or limited uses), cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn if misused.
If you buy a new plan while one is active, the new period is added to the end of your current one.

4. Refunds

Because premium content becomes available as soon as a plan is activated, payments are generally not refundable. If you were charged in error or paid twice, email us at contact@maathru.app and we will help. Refunds for Apple In-App Purchases are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not misuse Maathru. For example, do not try to access other people’s accounts, interfere with the service, copy or resell our content, or share paid features with others.

6. Our content

The text, illustrations, design and software in Maathru belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Maathru running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update features and content from time to time. If we change these terms in an important way, we will let you know in the app.

8. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from relying on information in Maathru instead of professional medical advice, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Sri Lankan consumer law.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Maathru at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
